What is the well-known mark? How it differs from regular trademark?

A famous or well-known mark is a trademark that, in view of its widespread reputation or recognition, may enjoy broader protection than an ordinary mark.

Well known Mark mostly should be an invented word instead of generic used word. By original adoption, registration, long and continuous user, plaintiff alone is entitled for the exclusive use of the trade mark and no one else.
